My name is Kristie Strader and I am pleased to be a second grade teacher this year.  I have taught at Briarcliff for 18 years now and simply can not imagine teaching anywhere else.  I grew up in Texas, graduated UNC- Wilmington, and I am married to my very best friend.  We love to travel - whether to the mountains for the weekend, or across the ocean to far away places.   I love to make crafts, draw, and shop!!!  I believe we must actively be the change we wish to see in the world and I also believe that small acts of kindness can move mountains.  I hope to encourage my students to strive for understanding, challenge themselves, and to be excellent custodians of the earth.  Here's to a wonderful second grade year for the students, the teachers, and the parents.
